New Peterbilt configurations for auto-haulers

by Today's Trucking

Peterbilt has produced two new configurations for car carriers.

The Model 567 UltraLow Roof Day Cab and Model 589 UltraLow Roof 58-inch sleeper are now available and were developed in collaboration with auto haulers to achieve a low-profile and lightweight design, the company says.

“The introduction of these two new configurations for car carrier applications is another example of how Peterbilt designs and manufactures products that provide Individualized Solutions for the unique needs of our customers,” said Scott Newhouse, Peterbilt chief engineer.

The 567 has a roof height of 95 inches, eliminating the need for aftermarket modifications. The 589 has a 100-inch roof height.
