GREENSBORO, N.C. — Volvo Trucks North America has launched a new Web site that highlights the company’s environmental achievements.

The Web site is available through the main site: www.volvotrucks.us.com. Click the ‘VTNA and the Environment’ link to connect to the environmental Web site.

The Web site explains Volvo’s decision to use Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) to meet North America’s 2010 emissions standards. The site provides a detailed look at how the technology works and why the truck maker feels it’s the best solution for 2010.

Also available on the Web site are looks at Volvo’s trucks, components and features which contribute to lower fuel consumption as well as a look at the company’s environmentally-friendly facilities. There’s also an “emissions calculator” which allows visitors to find out how much pollution is eliminated by operating various Volvo trucks.
