PartsNow.ai has launched Mike, a free AI truck parts consultant designed to help mechanics, owner-operators, fleet managers and dispatchers identify and source heavy-duty truck and trailer parts.

Users can access Mike by phone, text message, web chat or live video through the PartsNow mobile app. The company said users can describe a symptom, ask about a noise, get a second opinion before ordering a part or identify an unfamiliar component.

Mike is available through the PartsNow website, the PartsNow app for iOS and Android, or by phone in English and Spanish at no cost.

The company said the app’s live video feature allows technicians to point a phone camera at a component and receive an identification without removing the part or entering a description.

According to PartsNow.ai, Mike is trained on heavy-duty truck and trailer models, components, failure patterns and cross-references. The AI asks follow-up questions to narrow results to the appropriate part for a specific vehicle and application.

When users are ready to order, Mike connects to the PartsNow.ai platform, providing access to more than 50,000 parts from a network of distributors with real-time availability, checkout and delivery confirmation. The company said future updates will expand the parts catalog and add enhanced diagnostic capabilities.
