Pete offers free lightweight wheels

DENTON, Tex. — Peterbilt is offering two complimentary Alcoa front aluminum disc wheels with every new Pete bought that has a new emissions standard engine in it.

The idea is to offset any additional weight the new trucks will carry as a result of the new engine requirements.

The complimentary wheels are valued at about US$936 and can reduce vehicle weight up to 65 pounds over standard wheels.

Dan Sobic, assistant general manager of Peterbilt, says the company is also offering discounts on the lightweight FLEX air suspension as well as extended warranty coverage for select Cummins engines and Eaton transmissions.

The company is trying to alleviate many customers’ concerns about the new engines. For more information, contact your local Peterbilt dealership.
