Pete shows off special edition 379X

Peterbilt
Aimed at the owner-operator market, Peterbilt unveiled its new special edition 379X, which the company says enhances the level of styling and character of Peterbilt’s hallmark features.

Making its debut at the Mid-America Trucking Show in Louisville, the 379X showcases new polished aluminum fenders, Peterbilt oval-pattern grille, polished aluminum centerline hood accent and brushed aluminum dash and sleeper trim. Peterbilt assistant general manager Dan Sobic says the special edition’s new enhancements would increase the resale value of the model 379.

Additional exterior features include: polished aluminum grille bars; seven-inch chromed exhaust stacks; LED auxiliary lighting for the cab, sleeper, air cleaner and rear light-bar assembly; chromed Texas-style bumper; extended stainless steel sun visor; and special edition logos on each side of the sleeper.

Interior features of the 70-inch Unibilt UltraCab include: brushed aluminum dash panels; stylized, four-spoke, “X-style” steering wheel; custom leather UltraRide seats; chromed shift lever, knob and base plate with the Model 379X logo; and Charcoal cabinetry and interior trim.
