DENTON, Texas — Peterbilt has announced the Bendix SmartTire tire pressure monitoring system is now available on its Models 579 and 567.

The system monitors tire pressures and temperatures and warns drivers in real-time when problems arise. Keeping pressures properly adjusted improves fuel economy and reduces tire wear.

“Peterbilt is pleased to offer this technology to our Model 579 and 567 customers as another cost-saving feature on these already high ROI vehicles,” said Robert Woodall, Peterbilt’s Director of Sales and Marketing. “Tires are one of the largest expenses for fleets and the SmarTire TPMS can help reduce this cost, as well as save money through reduced fuel costs, less downtime and safer operation.”
