DENTON, Texas — Peterbilt has begun full production of the Peterbilt ComfortClass system in a 63-inch sleeper configuration. The system is immediately available for order in Peterbilt Class 8 vehicles equipped with a 63-inch Unibilt sleeper.

ComfortClass system availability in 63-inch sleepers follows the extremely successful introduction in the 70-inch sleeper family last year, the company says. The 63-inch and 70-inch ComfortClass equipped sleepers are available on Peterbilt Models 365, 367, 384, 386, 388 and 389.

The patented Peterbilt ComfortClass system, a combination of batteries and a thermal storage cooler, is designed to provide a temperature-controlled environment and the capacity to run computers, microwaves and other electronic devices in the sleeper. The system is designed for heating, cooling and 110-volt electrical power without the need for the engine to run for up to 10 hours.
