GRANDVIEW, Mo. — Peterson has released the latest addition to its Piranha LED line: the new 179 Series model. The accessory light employs unique optics which create a stunning 3D tunnel effect when lighted, the company says.

Both amber and red versions of the 3D LED are available. Designed for accessory use only, the new light is designed to illuminate and beautify such big rig and custom trailer features as stainless steel air cleaners, headache racks, bumpers, door panels and running boards.

With an operating range of 8-16 volts, the light mounts on 4″ centres and allows either lead to connect to the hot wire. Existing bullet terminals can be plugged into .180 female connectors or removed for hard-wire connection.

Peterson marketing director, Mark Assenmacher, says the new light’s revolutionary optics give it eye-catching power whether lighted or not. “When it’s on, it’s like looking into a lighted tunnel of infinite depth. When it’s off, it takes on a sleek, mirrored-chrome look. We think operators are going to love accessorizing with this incredible new model.”
