Phillips Connect integrates smart trailer data into McLeod TMS
Phillips Connect has launched a new integration with McLeod Software that brings real-time smart trailer data directly into the McLeod transportation management system (TMS), giving fleets greater visibility into trailer tire, lighting, and brake health, along with real-time location and cargo status.
The integration is available to fleets across North America.
Phillips Connect said the move is a part of its broader strategy to make trailers more actively integrated into fleet planning and dispatch workflows, integrating trailer data into the systems that carriers already depend on.

One of the key features is Phillips Connect’s CargoVision system, which uses an AI-powered camera to show planners and dispatchers what is inside the trailer and how much space remains, complete with volumetric measurements that support accurate load planning. The information supports more accurate load planning, particularly for partial shipments and multi-stop routes, by turning trailers into capacity-aware assets, according to a news release.
“With the Phillips Connect integration, mutual customers gain cargo visibility and real-time trailer location inside McLeod,” said Ahmed Ebrahim, senior vice president of strategic partnerships and integrations at McLeod Software. “This helps customers plan more effectively across their networks.”
“This integration is a game-changer for us,” said Mike Narkys, president of MNS1, the first fleet to test and complete the Phillips Connect–McLeod integration. “Our planners and dispatchers can see inside every trailer, understand how much space is left and decide quickly which trailers are ready to deploy, and which need to be repositioned. The Phillips Connect integration with McLeod helps us turn loads faster, reduce empty moves and put our trailers to work where they make the most impact for our customers and our drivers.”
