Platform Science partners with Phillips Connect for real-time trailer insights
Platform Science has partnered with Phillips Connect to integrate the DriverAssist system into its Virtual Vehicle platform, enabling real-time trailer insights like tractor-trailer pairing and tire pressure monitoring directly in the cab.
DriverAssist is available through the Virtual Vehicle Marketplace for all Platform Science fleets, delivering key trailer data such as real-time tractor-trailer pairing validation and tire pressure monitoring. This ensures that drivers are informed about their trailer’s health at all times, ultimately enhancing operational efficiency, according to a news release.
Platform Science’s Virtual Vehicle platform is known for enabling fleets to manage mobile devices and applications, providing seamless access to essential operational data without the need for aftermarket hardware.
“Phillips Connect’s smart trailer platform allows us to integrate sensors that address today’s needs and easily adapt to future technologies,” said Mike Narkys, president of MNS1 Express, a fleet operator that uses the technology.
“By partnering with Phillips Connect, we are integrating innovative real-time tractor-trailer pairing validation directly into any workflow, scaling a fleet’s existing setup without the need for complex changes,” said Jake Fields, co-founder and chief technology officer of Platform Science, in a news release.
“We’re helping fleets eliminate costly errors like mis-pulls and enhance safety with tire pressure alerts, providing drivers with the tools they need to be more efficient and safer on the road,” added Rob Phillips, co-founder and chief executive officer, Phillips Connect. “This collaboration is a significant step in driving the future of smart trailers, where seamless connectivity and actionable data deliver real value for both fleets and drivers.
