STRATHROY, Ont. — Pollock NationaLease has inked a $90-million deal to acquire Tiger Leasing of Baden, Ont. more than doubling its fleet and expanding its base throughout Canada.

The Southwestern Ontario company now has outlets in Calgary, Moncton, Kitchener and the Toronto area with more than 4,000 trucks and trailers in 10 different locations.

Most of Tiger’s 104 employees have agreed to stay on as Pollock employees.

“A lot of things that Tiger had been doing were very good and they had some very good people with a strong customer service ethic so there’s real synergy that we feel is going to be beneficial to the group here,” says Pollock President Doug Davis.
