PrePass has launched a new GPS toll verification service aimed at helping fleets reduce expenses by verifying toll charges. The solution, available through the PrePass app and integrated telematics platforms, uses GPS technology and a proprietary machine-learning engine to automatically detect potential tolling errors.

The system matches GPS locations with toll charges, ensuring fleets are only billed for the tolls they actually incur. Fleets can use the Inform tolling analytics dashboard for increased visibility into toll charges and dispute statuses, PrePass said in a news release, adding that it will also assist in processing tolling disputes on behalf of its customers.

“Our customers often face challenges in understanding and validating charges from the various tolling agencies their fleets use,” said Chris Murray, president of PrePass. “The ability to automatically verify toll charges using GPS technology and PrePass’ proprietary matching engine, not only provides them with confidence in their overall tolling expenses but also translates to significant cost savings, offering one less thing to worry about in their day.”
