QUICK-CONNECT BOX

Truck-Lite’s new truck body Quick Connect Box mounts on the bumper of a truck and provides a secure connection between the truck and consumer trailer. It comes with two connection options – one provides power to the trailer via a stripped wire connection, the other has a standard 4-pin flat molded connector.

Several features promote durability and prohibit corrosion, the company says.  For example, UV stabilizers in the molded housing and lid help avoid deterioration and weakening of the lid. The lid’s hinge pin fits tightly in the housing, increasing durability in all environments and reducing the chance of corrosion from exposed terminals. The main harness connection to the truck is said to be robust and combines solder dipped wires with adhesive-lined heat shrink to keep out moisture.

The mounting holes of the box make it easy for new installation or replacing an existing product, and it’s easily adaptable for use on many different vehicles including stake bodies, van bodies, and light-duty truck applications.
