Rand McNally integrates video telematics into Rand Platform
Rand McNally’s Rand Video Telematics (RVT) system is now available through the new Rand Platform.
The update – which comes three months after the company unveiled its latest camera and two months after acquiring an Australian vehicle platform – offers access to additional reports and live video streams.
Enhanced reports and dashboard views include tracking features such as details from vehicle “breadcrumbs” and geofences, which can be drawn in any shape.
Upgrades to the dual-facing cameras made it possible to monitor risky behavior such as tailgating, unsafe cornering, harsh braking, and sudden speed increases, the company adds.
