SKOKIE, Ill. — Rand McNally is looking give truck drivers the most current information and plan the most efficient routes with the 2006 edition of the Motor Carriers’ Road Atlas.

Company officials say the new atlas combines the latest map and trucking information, including state access policies and weight and size limits, to help truck drivers comply with industry regulations as well as save time and expense.

The 2006 Motor Carriers’ Road Atlas line includes the Motor Carriers’ Road Atlas, the Deluxe Motor Carriers’ Road Atlas and the Large Scale Motor Carriers’ Road Atlas. All three titles are available now at truck stops, bookstores and online at www.mcra.randmcnally.com.

“The latest edition of the Motor Carriers’ Road Atlas is an investment that helps truck drivers and fleet managers plan efficient routes and avoid mistakes that can impact their bottom lines,” said Nathalie Strassheim, managing editor for Rand McNally. “The atlas features annually updated information that helps drivers better contend with changes to critical points on their routes like weigh stations and low clearances.”

The 2006 Motor Carriers’ Road Atlas line features more than 2,000 map updates including new roads and interstate exits, and more than 300 changes to low clearance, weigh station and restricted route listings.

The suggested retail prices is $19.95 for the standard, $79.95 for the deluxe version and $125 for the large scale version. Officials say prices are generally are discounted at truck stops.
