Renewable Lubricants’ Bio-Ultimax 1000 offers higher flash point

by Today's Trucking

Renewable Lubricants is offering Bio-Ultimax 1000, a biosynthetic formula that directly replaces mineral oil-based hydraulic fluids, and has a flash point of 450 F (232 C). Traditional hydraulic fluid has a flash point around 240 F (115.5 C) and the 200-degree cushion can help prevent equipment fires, the company says.

Bio-Ultimax 1000 is available in various weights including ISO 32, 46, 68 and 100, and oxidation performance is comparable to full synthetics, it adds. Ideal for stationary or mobile environments, these high-viscosity index fluids work in systems up to 10,000 psi and in systems with ultra-fine filtration.

The non-toxic, zinc-free formulations contain no heavy metals.
