DALLAS, Tex. – Roadnet Technologies today announced the launch of its Roadnet Anywhere Tracking application.

The application is web-based and offers fleet managers an “always-on” level of visibility in their drivers’ day with real-time locations via GPS. The application doesn’t require any additional hardware and is inexpensive as it can be installed on smart phones and tablets.

“The trucking industry is becoming increasingly mobile and fleets expect instant visibility into their drivers’ location and status of shipments,” said Cyndi Brandt, director of product marketing at Roadnet Technologies. “Roadnet Anywhere Tracking offers an easy-to-use mobile platform for vehicle tracking and driver performance analysis in real-time, answering the common question, ‘Where is my truck/driver/shipment?’ within seconds. It makes workforce tracking as easy as login and go.”

Roadnet claims the application also allows managers to identify  driver behaviours like speeding and provides an opportunity for coaching to remedy it.

“With access to real-time, actionable insights from the Roadnet Anywhere Tracking application, fleets are in direct control of their vehicles while en route, which allows them to always be connected to their workforce, make better business decisions and improve customer service,” said Kevin Haugh, vice-president and general manager of Roadnet Technologies. “We look forward to seeing the benefits our fleet customers will reap from our newest tracking application and believe that this offers them another innovative yet simple SaaS solution to help manage their mobile workers.”
