SCISSOR LIFTS

With the July acquisition of Fleet America Service Technology, Stertil-Koni now offers a new heavy-duty scissors lift to its product line. An alternative to the traditional piston lift, the patent-pending ECO Lift is an axle-engaging multi-scissors lift that emerges from a shallow pit, said to offer convenience, flexibility, and capacity.

Designed and manufactured in the U.S., the lift is machined with tolerances to one thousandth of one inch, the company says. It’s ANSI/ALI ALCTV-2006 certified and will continue to be manufactured in Fleet America’s facility in Manheim, Pa.

As an axle-engaging lift, it allows easy access to wheel and brake assemblies and comes with a variety of adapters that will accommodate any axle configuration, while also featuring a safety locking mechanism to prevent unprompted lift descent.

One of the biggest advantages of the scissor-style ECO Lift is said to be its collapsible design that makes it small enough to require a pit only 34 in. deep pit instead of 6 to 9 ft as with axle-engaging piston-style lifts. That plus its bolt-in design allow for easy installation, or removal and reinstallation.
