Shell Rotella rolls out new extended life coolant
Shell Rotella has introduced Rotella ELC HD, an extended life coolant for heavy-duty engines.
The company says the new coolant offers improved performance and long-term reliability for on- and off-road applications.
“Shell Rotella ELC HD is an important addition to the portfolio of Shell Rotella heavy duty coolants and engine oils designed to meet the needs of vehicles and equipment used for on- and off-highway applications,” said Julie Wright, Shell Rotella brand manager, in a news release. “The coolant formulation and wide range of industry and manufacturer approvals ensure the high-performance coolant will meet the needs of several engine types.”
The new coolant is formulated with organic additive technology (OAT) molybdate, which Shell claims provides superior corrosion protection compared to conventional coolants.
Benefits include long drain intervals, superior metal protection, prevention of scale and silicate gel formation, elastomer protection, compatibility with other OAT coolants, and engine safety.
It is now available in multiple concentrations.
