Stemco launches Auto-Torq to streamline wheel-end installation
Stemco has released its Auto-Torq axle fastener as a standalone component, while expanding the product line to include a Drive R application that allows fleets to install Auto-Torq on a wider range of equipment, the company said.
The fastener is designed to streamline wheel-end installation by removing the need for washers, clips, snap rings, screws or keepers. Stemco says the simplified design helps reduce installation complexity and eliminates the need for specialty tools.
Auto-Torq applies a consistent clamp load on bearings during installation, which the company says helps minimize bearing wear and extend service life. The all-in-one solution is compatible with hubs from any industry manufacturer. Stemco added that pairing Auto-Torq with its seals, bearings and hubcaps can allow customers to qualify for extended wheel-end warranty coverage.
