Super enhancements in Supra Series

Carrier Transicold’s Supra S10 diesel-powered refrigeration unit, available in early 2022, represents the fifth model in the supplier’s Supra lineup — and it comes with several upgrades.

Delivering 37,000 BTUs at 35 Fahrenheit, Carrier Transicold says the Supra S10 is the most powerful truck refrigeration unit in North America, and even beats its Supra 960 predecessor by 16%.

There are three engines speeds rather than two, delivering lower rpms, while it’s 24% lighter thanks to fewer unique components. APX controls optimize performance, enhance diagnostics and report trip data, and the unit integrates with Carrier Transicold’s eSolutions telematics platform.

In terms of environmental enhancements, the Supra S10 uses 45% less refrigerant than its predecessor and it offers the choice of R-404A refrigerant or the R-452A.

Oil change intervals have been extended to 2,000 hours, adding to a wider use of maintenance-free components.
