Supra S10MT improves multi-zone temperature control in straight trucks

by Today's Trucking

Carrier Transicold has a new Supra S10MT diesel-fueled refrigeration unit for multi-temperature straight trucks, which it says offers better efficiency, performance and serviceability than the model it replaces.

“Managing multiple product temperatures in multi-stop truck applications demands precise temperature management and fast recovery after deliveries,” said Scott Parker, product manager – truck products, Carrier Transicold. “The Supra S10MT has the power and versatility that truck fleets need, plus the durability and reliability they’ve come to expect from our Supra platform.”

The Supra S10MT produces 33,000 BTY at 35 F and uses separate SlimLine evaporators for each cooling zone. A single- and dual-discharge evaporator design allows fleets to optimize airflow, and control temperature and utilization in each space, the company says.

It’s also quieter, 18% lighter weight and has an extended 2,000-hour oil service interval.
