COLUMBUS, Ohio — A survey of US truck fleets suggests 51% plan to order trucks with 2007 engines by the end of the year.

The report was issued by CK Commercial Vehicle Research, but included responses from just 48 trucking companies. According to the survey, about one-third of respondents who plan on purchasing 2007 engines this year will do so before the end of March. Most, however, say they will place their orders between July and September 2007.

Forty-nine per cent of respondents said they wont be buying trucks with 2007 engines at all this year. For more information about the Fleet Sentiment Report, visit www.ckcvr.com.
