Talbert AC Series ready to haul equipment

by Today's Trucking

Talbert Manufacturing’s Tag-a-Long Austin Carry-All Series (AC Series) trailers offer an option to haul small- and mid-sized equipment.

The 10- to 25-ton trailers feature a seven-degree load angle to transport equipment including asphalt rollers and machines for dirt work, supporting applications such as construction, paving, agriculture, and oil field development.

The dual-axle AC-10 offers a 10-ton, 20,000-pound capacity with an overall length of 29.5 feet. The deck is 24 feet long – 19 feet flat, with a five-foot beavertail – and includes five-foot, five-inch self-cleaning spring-assisted rear ramps. The loaded deck height is 32.25 inches, as much as two inches lower than competitive models.

Contractors looking for a larger capacity can turn to the AC-20, which offers a 20-ton, 40,000-pound capacity with the same deck dimensions and loaded deck height. The AC3-25 has a 29-foot deck — 24 feet flat with a five-foot beavertail — and a 25-ton, 50,000- pound capacity with a 32.75-inch loaded deck height.

All AC Series trailers feature a pierced I-beam cross-member construction, as well as dense apitong flooring that helps to prevent chipping and cracking while also offering traction.

The AC-20ART and AC3-25ART improve on the base design of the AC Series by incorporating an air ramp and/or air tilt. The air-powered ramps eliminate handling heavy ramps prior to loading.
