Tennessee company orders 500 Volvos

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Covenant Transport of Tennessee has ordered up to 500 Volvo VNs for the third quarter of 2003, according to Volvo trucks North America.

One of the largest truckload carriers in the U.S. specializing in just-in-time delivery, Covenant ordered VN670 sleeper cabs with Cummins ISX engines. The new trucks will be used for single-driver operation in the fleet’s truckload service.
