MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. — Thermo King has announced that it has been recognized as an “Operations Supplier of the Year” by Sysco Corporation, a North American foodservice marketer and distributor.

This is the second year in a row that Thermo King has won the award, the company says. Thermo King supplies refrigeration units and parts and service support to Sysco.

The winners were chosen by Sysco’s operations personnel and were evaluated on their ability to satisfy Sysco’s requirements in a cost effective and efficient manner, according to Thermo King. Criteria also included elements that measure a supplier’s ability to be a good team player: flexibility, innovation, accuracy, a strong sense of professional ethics and integrity, good communications and quality products and services. The winners received the highest rating in their category.

“This award is the result of great customer service and lots of hard work by Thermo King dealers and employees,” said Ron Fernandez, national account manager for Thermo King, which was presented with the award at Sysco’s first Super Regional Conference held recently in Houston, Texas.
