ALBANY, NY — Thomson Delmar Learning recently announced the publication of two new books for the trucking industry, Trucking Guide to Border Crossing and Commercial Trucking Bilingual Dictionary.

The titles address many of the challenges facing the trucking industry as both domestic and international regulations change at a rapid pace.

"We developed these titles as a result of feedback from the market place," said Tim Waters, product development manager at Thomson Delmar Learning. "With the increasing commerce today between Mexico, the U.S., and Canada, the need to have up-to-date and accurate training and reference materials is greater than ever."

Trucking Guide to Border Crossing (ISBN 1-4018-2007-7, $16.95 List) is written for professional drivers crossing borders between Mexico, the U.S., and Canada, and offers explanations of many of the policies among the three countries. The information spotlights the difference between a successful first-time trip into a neighboring country and possible problems that could mean a driver’s last trip across the border. Border Crossing untangles much of the red tape involved in transportation of goods across borders, as it helps drivers avoid delays and other problems often associated with border crossing.

The Commercial Trucking Bilingual Dictionary (ISBN 1-4018-5243-2, $19.95 List) is for trucking industry personnel who need a better understanding of Spanish or English terminology, resources, regulations, safety requirements, and hazardous material regulations when traveling. It is comprised of a comprehensive listing of Commercial Driver’s License terminology with definitions provided in English and Spanish. It is particularly useful to those just entering the CDL market to acquaint them with regulations, agencies, acronyms, and more. The versatility of usage makes this an ideal choice not only for commercial truck drivers but for anyone who interacts with members of the commercial truck driving community.
