TMC releases new Recommended Practices manual

ARLINGTON, Va. — The Technology & Maintenance Council has published its 2014-2015 Recommended Practices Manual, now available for purchase in print or electronic formats.

The two-volume set features TMC’s Recommended Maintenance Practices Manual and Recommended Engineering Practices Manual, and includes more than 40 new, revised or reissued Recommended Practices adopted by TMC as of May 2014. The combined manual features more than 3,100 pages of technical information that represents the consensus and collective industry experience of Council members.

“This is one of the trucking industry’s best resources for truck maintenance, testing and specification information,” said Carl Kirk, vice president of maintenance, information technology and logistics of the American Trucking Associations. “This latest version includes important updates to existing recommended practices and adds numerous new ones that cover the latest technologies and provide for improved efficiencies and safety for fleets, big and small.”
