Trailer maker standardizes Bendix parts

ELYRIA, Ohio — Looking to take its business in a new direction, Belshe Industries has chosen several Bendix brand wheel end solutions as standard equipment on its heavy equipment trailers.

As part of the agreement, Belshe – which manufactures a complete line of heavy equipment trailers – will offer as standard: Bendix brand foundation drum brakes, Bendix ASA-5 automatic slack adjusters, and Bendix SB-4 combination spring brakes.

“We decided to make Bendix standard on our trailers because of the reputation the name carries and, frankly, because Bendix offers a competitive price,” says John Reynolds, purchasing manager at Belshe.

“Belshe has always had good experience with Bendix components, and we expect that to continue. It’s not the sole reason, but it’s certainly not a coincidence that we’ve seen an increase in sales of products that now feature Bendix technology as standard.”
