Transcraft redesigns suspension system

ANNA, Ill. — Transcraft has updated all 2003 model trailers with a redesigned suspension system, improving trailer performance and longevity.

The company says the new system drastically reduces stresses in critical structural and frame-weld areas. Testing indicates significant improvement towards eliminating suspension frame cracks in normal operating cycles.

It incorporates a K-type structural bracing between the wide spread axles. Triangular gussets, combined with outside web stiffeners distribute suspension side loading over the full main beam depth.
