TRIB sets Hamilton radio station straight on retreads

HAMILTON, Ont. — The Tire Retread Information Bureau (TRIB) was recently featured on a Hamilton radio show, after taking issue with a blog posting by one of the shows hosts.

Shiona Thompson, producer and co-host of AM 900 CHMLs morning show recently wrote a blog that criticized the practice of retreading truck tires. TRIB immediately took issue with the offensive post and Thompson soon replied, and invited the organization to be a guest on her morning show.

TRIB was a guest on the morning show on Jan. 2, and was able to set the record straight regarding truck retreads.

We had a great time telling the listening audience about the real causes of rubber on the road (road alligators), and our offer to send information about tire maintenance – and of course the benefits of retreaded tires- has elicited more than 75 requests, and we are still receiving calls daily, points out TRIBs managing director, Harvey Brodsky.
