Troubleshoot With New Diagnostic Tool

Allison Transmission
The Allison Transmission Diagnostic Tool (ATDT) is a PC-based software application that enables technicians to access diagnostic data and follow code-driven hyperlinks to corrective troubleshooting steps. Double-clicking on a specific on-screen diagnostic code transports the user to the appropriate part of the WTEC II and WTEC III troubleshooting manuals embedded in the software. The manuals can also be accessed without using the hyperlinks. The tool uses a standard Windows-style interface and includes strip-chart, history, snapshot, and printing functions. It also offers transmission-reprogramming capability, available after the user satisfies ATD training certification requirements.

Computer specs must include: Windows 95, 98, or NT 4.0; 50 MB of free hard-drive space; 64 MB of RAM; and at least a Pentium II processor. The software tool is available only from SPX/Kent Moore.
