FALCONER, N.Y. — Truck-Lite has partnered with Freightliner Trucks to deliver an ideal mirror system for Freightliners new upscale truck, the Cascadia.

The new Class 8 truck was launched with a focus on new standards for fuel savings and overall operating efficiency.

The Cascadia is a truly innovative new truck, stated Brian Kupchella, Truck-Lite president. And we are very excited to equip it with our quality mirror system.

With nearly three years of research and development, Truck-Lites door and fender mirror system lend themselves to a classy, yet aerodynamic appeal to work with the trucks overall needs.

The fender mounted auxiliary mirrors and door mirrors are equipped with a single-arm fold-away feature to sit flush against the truck body. Additional steps were taken to ensure ease of service for component replacements on the road as well, noted the manufacturer.

Cascadias mirrors give the truck fantastic sight lines, added Melissa Kellogg, director of product marketing for Freightliner. Theyre big, aerodynamic, wont shake, and have built-in heaters to keep them free of frost and fog. Upgraded visibility is a key safety benefit found on the Cascadia.

The mirror system is embraced with substantial mounts to reduce glass vibration and also equipped with heat and remote-control features. The chrome or black housed mirrors were also designed to reduce moisture accumulation on the glass, increasing visibility.
