Trucking Hub names 3MD ELD as its preferred device for integrated fleet compliance
Chicago-based transportation management system (TMS) provider Trucking Hub has named 3MD ELD its preferred electronic logging device (ELD) for fleets using its TMS. It cites its tamper-resistant design, claimed compliance with U.S. Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) requirements, and seamless integration capabilities.
The 3MD ELD, first listed on the FMCSA’s registry in 2017, combines logging functions with telematics, providing carriers with real-time fleet visibility, connectivity, and compliance data through Verizon’s nationwide network, according to a news release. Features include dynamic ETAs, audit-ready IFTA reports with one-minute GPS intervals, and location tracking.

Native integration with Trucking Hub’s TMS enables carriers to manage driver logs, hours of service data, compliance, and location tracking from a single platform.
Trucking Hub and 3MD ELD are both owned by 3MD, a Chicago-based, family-owned business that operates a fleet of 30 trucks. The company develops and uses its own technology.
