Trucks Tear Through Bolton

BOLTON, Ont. – The Albion and Bolton Agricultural Society sponsored the 25th annual Modified Truck and Tractor Pull June 27 at the Albion Bolton Fairgrounds.

Organizer Heather French said this year’s event was a huge success.

Up for grabs was a total of $12,000 in prize money for the following categories: 4×4 stock; local 4×4; pro-stock tractor; 4×4 super stock truck; heavy modified tractors; stock tractor; modified 4WD trucks; pro-stock tractor; 2WD trucks; multi-engine; modified tractors and highway tractors. The winners for the highway tractor pull included: Ian Greenwood from Grand Valley, Ont. taking first place; Brian Parks of Bolton, Ont. finishing second; Jim Harrington of Bradford, Ont. taking third; Steve Dodds of Orangeville, Ont. finishing fourth; Eric Roley of Caledon, Ont. taking fifth place; Jim Warner Jr. of Erin, Ont. finishing sixth; Joe Blundell of Woodville, Ont. finishing seventh; Crittenden Trucking out of Sunderland, Ont. placing eighth; and Jeremy Blundell from Woodville, Ont. finishing ninth.

In the 6,000 4×4 Super Stock pull, Brian Goble of Lindsay, Ont. placed first; Dale Chabanick of Erin, Ont. finished second; Charlie Appleman from Port Hope, Ont. took third place; and Ron Blakely from Colborne, Ont. took fourth place.
