Ultra-Clean US-159 attacks burned on oil and grease

Madison Chemical’s Ultra-Clean US-159 is an alkaline detergent developed specifically to remove aged, oxidized, and burned-on oil and grease, just like mechanics will find when conducting engine and transmission rebuilds.

Intended for immersion in agi-lift and ultrasonic equipment, the formula produces low or moderate foam to maximize ultrasonic cavitation.

Used as directed, it’s safe for use on ferrous alloys, but may etch or stain aluminum or zinc alloys. So pre-testing is recommended before use.

Dilutions of 2-10% by volume in water that is 120-160 Fahrenheit are typically effective. Heavier soils or ultrasonic applications could benefit from temperatures up to 190 Fahrenheit, the company adds.
