MBB Interlift recently launched the ILUK Under Slider liftgate that features an under-mount platform for both truck and trailer applications. The level-ride 74×96 and 82×96-in. platforms are claimed to be the largest available that can store underneath the truck. They’re available in capacity loads of 3300, 4400, 5500, and 6600 lb, and you can get a fully aluminum version in capacities between 3300 and 5500 lb.

The company says the liftgate "can handle both top-heavy, sensitive loads as well as heavy general cargo due to its level ride feature.” 

The under mount design reduces the chance of dock damage to the liftgate and also keeps it conveniently out of the way when not in use.  The ILUK is lighter than a rail-style liftgate, the maker claims, yet it features the same capacities. It includes a pre-mounted, thermo-protected, slide-in power pack that is fully protected in the mount tube and is easy to inspect.  The bed height range is 36 to 60 in., which allows it to work with a wide range of applications, including walk ramps — without lowering the liftgate — and also with roll-up and swing doors.  The 4400-6600-lb capacity models come standard with foot controls and cart stops, which are optional on the 3300-lb model.  All are available with a wireless remote control and other options.
