UNIVERSAL LIFT

If you run one of those shops that uses heavy-duty in-ground lifts to pick up large trucks and settle for using floor jacks to raise light-duty ones, this is for you. Public and utility fleets especially.

To help improve productivity in such garages, Rotary Lift recently introduced the X Pad frame-contact adapter for its MOD30 environmentally friendly in-ground lift. The adapter temporarily replaces the standard axle-engaging adapter on the big lift’s rear post, so it can pick up vehicles with independent front or rear suspensions, such as cars and minivans.

The X Pad adapter uses the same arms as light-duty in-ground lifts to properly reach manufacturer-recommended pick-up points. Rated load capacity using the adapter is 9000 lb.

The X Pad can be ordered with a new MOD30 or it can be added to an existing unit. No permanent installation is required.

The MOD30 is said to reduce environmental concerns by being entirely self-contained and using half the hydraulic fluid required by traditional in-ground lifts. Because it’s modular, it can be configured to accommodate most heavy-duty vehicles, including trucks and construction equipment. The lift’s auto spotting system enables technicians to position the moveable front piston without crawling around on the floor. A single joystick gives technicians infinite speed control when raising and lowering the lift. Rated lift capacity is 60,000 to 90,000 lb.
