HOUSTON, Texas — US quick lube Speedco has adopted Shell ROTELLA T with Triple Protection as its standard fill for heavy-duty trucks.

The company makes the switch Dec. 1 at all quick lube facilities across the US. Shell’s ROTELLA T with Triple Protection is a CJ-4 engine oil that can be used on the new 2007 engines as well as their predecessors. The company says its newly-formulated engine oil also offers lower wear, better deposit control and improved engine cleanliness.

“We have decided to offer our customers Shell ROTELLA T with Triple Protection technology because it provides significantly better engine protection than the previous API CI-4 Plus motor oil,” said Mark Clark, president of Speedco. “We believe maintenance savings will be one of the many benefits that the new CJ-4 motor oil will provide our customers driving with pre-2007 and new engines.”

“This decision by Speedco, one of the largest quick lubes for heavy-duty trucks in the country, speaks volumes for their commitment to provide their customers the best products, such as Shell ROTELLA T with Triple Protection,” said Dennis Doggett, general manager of marketing B2B for Shell Lubricants. “We are very pleased to work with Speedco in helping keep trucks on the road longer and to play a role in reducing their long term maintenance costs.”

To kick off the changeover, Speedco is offering customers who change their oil in December triple points if they’re a ROTELLA Road to Rewards program member. In January, customers will receive a pair of ROTELLA work gloves.
