OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. — Love’s Travel Stops, a US truck stop chain, has reached a deal to carry Michelin truck tires and related products at many of its locations.

The deal kicks in this month.

“For over four decades, Love’s Travel Stops has grown with the trucking industry,” said Guy Pekle, vice-president of replacement sales, Michelin Americas Truck Tires. “Love’s has earned a reputation of excellence in delivering much needed products and services for the over-the-road customers. Their commitment to providing outstanding service to the trucking community mirrors that of Michelin, which makes this agreement very beneficial for truckers coast-to-coast.”

“Our intention is to grow this additional service rapidly to reach the critical mass necessary to become a true alternative for the trucking industry,” added Kevin McCarthy, divisional manager of tire sales and services for Love’s. “Before the end of 2009, we will have enabled 100 locations to carry the new Love’s Tire Care banner and offer emergency road service along their key access corridors as well as tire sales and services.”
