LOUISVILLE, Ky. — At the Mid-America Trucking Show, Vanguard National Trailer took the opportunity to introduce its new president and a new trailer product.

Jordan Owens joined Vanguard in February as the new president of the company, accompanied by 25 years of experience in varied sectors of manufacturing operations. Most recently, Owens served as president of Danly IEM in Cleveland.

Owens replaces former president Rich Dessimoz, who will remain a member of the Vanguard management team for consultation.

Vanguard, which began its trailer production in February 2004, also had on site a model of its new VXP Composite Plate Trailer. Production on the trailer is expected to begin in July 2006 at the company’s Indiana facilities.

The composite sidewall of the new trailer, sandwich an HDPE foamed plastic core between two galvanized steel cover sheets and rust preventative primer and polyester finish coats are baked on the cover sheets.
