Vehicle inspections? There’s an app for that

by Today's Trucking

DataDis has released MIRCheck, an app designed to eliminate paper documents surrounding circle checks – and speed up the all-important inspections in the process.

The app automatically saves the date, time, location and vehicle plate, and offer a tool to record detailed comments that include photos, videos, or sound recordings.

The reports can also be signed automatically.

It’s all connected to MIR-RT fleet management software, triggering emails to fleet managers with copies of the circle check reports. That, says DataDis, offers time to reserve resources before a vehicle ever enters a service bay.

Managers can view the documents through a web portal that also includes search filters. And it can be used to compile a complete file for any vehicle prior to an audit.
