CRYSTAL LAKE, Ill. — Aftermarket truck parts distributor VIPAR Heavy-Duty has announced it is entering the commercial vehicle equipment market.

The new division will operate under the name VHD Equipment Network. The new unit will target the $9 billion North American commercial vehicle equipment market, which represents more than 1,700 companies that distribute, install, buy, sell or repair truck-mounted equipment, the company has announced.

“The synergies that exist between the commercial vehicle parts market and the commercial vehicle equipment market present many opportunities for VIPAR Heavy Duty, our existing stockholders, supplier partners, and new equipment members,” said Steve Crowley, president and CEO, VIPAR Heavy Duty. “These synergies make it practical to deliver our value-added propositions in program management, technology, business services, marketing, communications, and more to the leading vehicle equipment distributors.”
