Virtual Dispatch adds ACE capabilities

MARKHAM, Ont. — Virtual Dispatch has partnered with CrimsonLogic to provide an Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) compliance system.

ACE is an impending program that will require electronic manifest submissions from carriers to US Customs an hour before the truck reaches the border (or half an hour for FAST shipments).

Virtual Dispatch’s new ACE module enables truck carriers to submit their required data to US Customs and Border Protection through a fast and secure Internet connection, the company reports. The new module sends e-mail notifications to the carriers and enables users to access additional information through a Web portal.
