VOCATIONAL TRUCK HANDLING

To provide better ride, handling, and safety, International Workstar and Paystar vocational trucks have two new options — the Bendix ABS-6 Advanced with RSP Stability System and the Hendrickson Primaax suspension.

The Bendix system helps drivers to better handle difficult driving scenarios, being able to recognize and assist
with both rollover and understeer/oversteer driving situations. It continuously monitors a variety of parameters and sensors to determine if the truck is reaching a critical stability threshold. If that situation develops, the stability program automatically intervenes to selectively apply individual brakes as well as de-throttle the engine.

The Primaax suspension is aimed at customers in vocational markets such as construction, heavy-haul, roll-off, and logging. The air-ride suspension allows for a smoother ride, International says, and longer truck life by
helping to isolate the chassis and cab from typical off-road terrain. It provides a stable suspension base for
high-center-of-gravity loads and applications.
