Electric-vehicle-certified Volvo Trucks dealers have a new tool to help customers calculate the financial and economic benefits electric trucks will deliver in specific operations.
The electromobility total cost of ownership calculator is part of what Volvo dubs its “concierge” approach to electromobility, and was announced at the Management Conference & Exhibition of the American Trucking Associations.
The tool is available through Volvo dealers, which will be able to help with long-term electric truck purchasing decisions. It provides a projection and comparison of lifetime operating costs between electric and diesel trucks.
The tool also shows how government incentives can factor into the cost of a new electric truck. Three Canadian Volvo dealers are currently EV-certified, with another four in the process.
