MISSISSAUGA, Ont. — Michael O’Connell, president of Volvo Trucks Canada, has been released from the organization.

According to an unnamed, but highly placed source within the company, O’Connell was let go as part of a company-wide restructuring effort that is now under way.

Instead of a Canadian versus U.S. approach, the organization is moving towards smaller sales regions that will report directly to Volvo Trucks North America headquarters in Greensboro, N.C.
