New from Baldwin Filters is the Vortex line of lube filters, including three patent-pending dual-flow models for Cummins ISM, ISX, and Signature Series engines intended as replacements for the Fleetguard Venturi line. The new Vortex dual-flow spin-ons allow 15% of the oil to flow through the bypass section of the filter instead of the standard 10%. They also have an inlet and one outlet, so that oil flowing through the filter is sent directly to the engine rather than
a portion being returned to the sump as with conventional dual-flow designs. SAE tests, to Cummins standard 10765, demonstrated superior contaminant removal efficiency, Baldwin says.
