Webfleet tracks wide array of assets

by Today's Trucking

Webfleet Asset Tracking offers a new tool to track the location and use of assets such as trailers, generators and other equipment.

The single interface displays every asset on a map view, and fleet operators can opt for alerts whenever an asset is used, when it leaves a designated area, or when motion is detected. Maintenance notifications can also be set up based on odometer, engine hours, or time since the previous service.

The locations themselves can be confirmed in seconds, and position updates are updated on the map every five minutes.

The trailers generate the required information using the ruggedized Link 340 tracker, and can also identify coupled assets, while it’s also possible to track which machine is being transported by which truck.
