XL Fleet electrifies Isuzu trucks
XL Fleet can now transform a gasoline-powered Isuzu NPR-HD into an electric truck, upfitting the vehicle with an XL Hybrid electric drive.
The system includes a lithium-ion battery, electric motor, inverter and control software.
This is the second Isuzu to be electrified by the company, which originally launched its hybrid system on the Isuzu Reach diesel walk-through van in 2015.
The system is currently available on NPR-HD models with a 6.6-liter gasoline engine, on 150-inch and 176-inch wheelbases, and in both standard and crew cab configurations.
